    Hoover Windtunnel Self-Propelled

What a lovely pair! The windtunnel models are really growing on me. I have a twin chamber one like the grey one you have there, except I think mine is more green maybe? Either way, I saved it from a goodwill outlet store. If you don't know anything about those, those are a final destination for...

    Childhood reunited :)

I can't believe I finally found one! A dirt devil vision swivel glide! Now I know, it's "just a dirt devil", but I couldn't care less! This is the exact kind of sweeper my mom had when I was growing up for years before she got a dyson dc07 (but now she has a kirby G4, that she got off her pretty...

    Got my first Convertible!

I was at work the other day, having a meeting. Normally I can text while at work some as long as it's during an appropriate time, but today alas I couldn't. So little did I know my wife was out shopping around and happened to find this lovely little guy! Runs perfect, uses the top fill bags...

    A true test of duribility

Tragic but heart warming. It is terrible to hear that about your grandmother and her belongings, I wish you all the best in recovering and restoring what you can. But what a lovely little glimmer of joy? As a collector that's heart warming to see it survive, and so well at that.

    Reason to love old vacuums

For the enjoyment of it all I do feel, that as a whole but not 100% of the time, products of years past were built with a certain standard of higher quality and ability to be repaired. And I simply love old sweepers, they have so much character, interesting designs, wonderful noises, and just...

    Kirby G series issues

Kirbykleankarpet It was the knurled belt. I took one that was working on my sentria and put it on there just because I didn't know what else to try lol. I've asked everyone I know about it and no one seems to have had an answer

    Kirby G series issues

Chicagomike Thank you for your assistance. I don't have the g5 anymore, but the omega I do. I will try and work on that here in the near future and I'll let you know how it goes.

    Kirby G series issues

Human It must just be my luck right now then, actually with most kirbys I'm running into right now. I had a g5 that I had picked up for an aunt of mine. Motor sounded good and strong. Put a brand new belt on it. But as soon as the head just touches the carpet, it completely stops spinning...

    Kirby G series issues

Has anyone else had any reliability issues out of G series sweepers, or did I just get some bad luck? I've had a few G series and they seem to have had more problems than older models.

    Opinions on Oreck XL's

They are ok I have an oreck xl signature gold edition, it's basically a normal xl with a diffirent color bag. It does ok lol. It definitly is for low pile carpet. The brushes are fairly soft and suction could be higher. Those with low pile carpet, elderly, or physically handicapped would be...

    What's your favorite bagless sweeper?

Hooverkid Hey I have a tristar too! I think it's called the dxl model? Don't quote me on that lol. I think you will like your kompressor. I had always wanted one back from when they came out when I was still a wee teenager, obviously didn't have the money for it then. Before I got it I watched...

    What's your favorite bagless sweeper?

Now normally, I'm a bagged fan myself. But there are a few bagless ones I do like. My favorite is the LG Kompressor upright, I have the luv200r model. I think it's absoutely gorgeous and it does a good job I feel. What's yours, and why?

    98 Hoover Powermax running hot?

Durango 159 It is the upright, hard case bagged, I forgot there was a cannister version sorry lol. Thank you for the information. I really like this sweeper, it does an excellent job and I just plain like the looks of it too. So I'd like to keep it going if I can :)

    98 Hoover Powermax running hot?

After I use my powermax, it always feels awfully hot, like more so than I'd imagine it it should. I can find no blockages, so I'm not really sure why it's doing this for, any suggestions?

Dateing hoover sweepers via serial number

How can I tell the age of a hoover using the serial number? I've seen where with older ones you use the last 3 digits, you just have to know what decade it was from. But I've also been told in the 90's the system changed. And that's my biggest question, how can I date hoovers from the 90's and up?
