    My Classic

Pictures I love this vacuum so far. I don't think the guy I bought it from new what kind of gem he had, he sold it to me for $20. The only problems it has, or had, are simple fixes, the hook on the cord was missing, so I put a safety pin on it, the belt was worn and stretched so I replaced it...

    My Classic

So, today I bought a beautiful Kirby Classic 1-CR, this is my 3rd Kirby and 10th vacuum of my collection. I got it for $20 with attachments and rug renovator. The belt was slipping and the bag was FULL, so I put it inside out, cleaned it, washed it and got it well working again. I did replace...

Lets settle it! What's your favorite early series Kirby?

Tradition I like the Tradition for it's beautiful blue color, and its place in Kirby history as the first to offer disposable bags.

    Washing Kirby 512 Bag

Hey everyone. I was wondering if it is safe to put the bag of my Kirby 512 in the washing machine, and if so, is there a particular detergent to use? I hate the idea of the bag restricting airflow and hurting the motor. Here's the bag.

    My Kirby 512

Tampa I live near Tampa. Thanks for the advice Calem, I the hole was at the bottom of the bag and it hasn't had a problem. Steve I don't understand why more people don't like vacuums, I have since I was two with my Kirby G5.

    My Kirby 512

New in Town I am new to this site, I do like it! And I am in Florida, I've been here three years, but I'm from Massachusetts. I do like this cord BTW, but it likes to slip off, and it's short. Also, I'd like to get peoples opinions on something, should I get the Lexan fan for this?

    My Kirby 512

Hello everyone, I've had this for about a month now but I haven't actually posted about it yet. This is my Kirby 512 that I got for $36 at an antique store, the lady working there had no idea what to make of an 18 yo buying an older vacuum. I really like it, I've given it a slight polish, and I...

    Buy old or new?

Either You could get away with either old or new, just get a good brand. The Kirby machines have an excellent reputation, I have two! Older Hoovers are also great deep cleaning carpet grooming machines.. The Miele machines are great too.

    Concept One Bag Removal

Hi everyone, I just got a Hoover Concept One off a Craigslist add for $10. I really like it and think it is an excellent addition to my collection (I have 9 vacuums in total which isn't a lot compared to some users but my parents sure think it is!), when I got it the zipper on the bag was stuck...
