    Silverado hose help

Do you have the Electrolux Sidekick? It didn't come out until about 1986, but you can certainly use it with the Silverado. Perfect for upholstery, carpeted stairs, and cleaning your car. I love it. http://www.vodhin.org/Vacuum/PN/PNMini/index.html

    Silverado hose help

Fear not I do know what an original Electrolux Silverado hose was like. It was woven, stiff, and prone to leaks. There was no switch on the handle. And NO they don't make them anymore. Be grateful you had that replacement. It's made your Silverado experience much more enjoyable.

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

If you have consistent annual increases, good for you. That's a separate issue from recent bumps in business that may well happen. I've lived through several recessions and studied business. I might have some inside info on this.

    Silverado hose help

Please pics of your complete vacuum so we can advise you if it's genuine. Electrolux canisters were generally good, but the original hoses were woven, stiff, and prone to leaking so having generic replacement like you have was better than the original. As I said previous, I've purchased and...

Keith that Silverado is beautiful. I don't know how you do it. Everything you present is flawless. I've had several Silverados, none as nice as this. Good for you. Thanks for sharing.

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

The uptick in business is just temporary.  Since people have had more time on their hands they are doing stuff now that they would probably be spreading out of the the next year or so.   People will get distracted with other things and business will sink back and not just for a month or so. ...

    Electrolux Silverado Model 1505

Get a new hose.  It will be the easiest.   I just bought one of these.  I've bought these before and they work great.   Prices actually coming down  on somethings these days.

A Halo For My Electrolux Special!

Can we know where said crown came from?   It looks great btw.  Super clean.  Doesn't appear to have any dents or scratches which tends to happen to these cute lil' luxes.   Doesn't the "deluxe" moniker as stamped on the box imply that it included a power nozzle?    Is this for...

    Best cleaning powerhead

Agree with nOoxy   And I just love my  Wessel-Werk EBK360.  I have two of them plus an EBK340   What ever you consider, something dependable will have a cogged belt vs. a flat belt.    As much as I love the old Hoover Quadraflex pns, they had a flat belt. I wonder if they could be...

    VDTA Closing...

I hear you.  And such is business.  They come in distribute their wares and then they go away.  Some stay longer than others.  But nothing stays around forever.   I wonder if like 100 years ago people were just as fussy as us.     Candle stick makers:"Oh dear Gertrude, did you see that...

    Hoover Complimentary Colors

I see they got wise and put some upward directed side louvers.   Anything that's exhausting air onto the floor where it can blow dust around is a terrible design.  That's one of the reasons this vacuum is such a bad design, imo.    ....but I love the late 70s and 80s Hoover colors, so. ...

Prince It's not quite clear.  Here is a link for a base for sale.   The older model blue one apparently has holes but the newer rust colored one...

Large Stockpile Of Unsold Hoover Windtunnel Twin-Chamber

Isn't this from like the 90s or early 2000s?   And it's ..... bagless.       Just because a product is brand new, doesn't by default make it desirable or valuable.

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

Yep, the U.S. is the only embarrassing industrialized country without a universal health care system.   It's ridiculous and pathetic.    Shame on our knuckle dragging republicans who need a good kick up the back side for their self centered thinking.   In the events like this Covid...

Worst condition or dirtiest vacuum you found?

Barry that motor may not be impossible to fix by simply cleaning it.  By that I mean removing it from the cleaner and with a vacuum, tooth brush and a few other small implements, cleaning out sand or whatever got into it.     I bought a really nice Epic upright once that someone used without...

Covid-19: Are your local vac shops open?

Open by appntmnt and no one allowed in the store.  That's more than reasonable .... and considerate for all parties.   For those working on the repair side, consider what you are exposing yourselves to with the dust particles in these vacs.  That's why cleaning them out OUTDOORS  is...
