Wow! What an interesting variety of vacuums! I have a decent collection, but your variety is very impressive! Especially that Siemens. I've never heard of it. I guess it's cause they warent sold here in the U.S.

What about the red one??? Is it either some sort of singer twin turbo vac or a kenmore twin fan vac? Or something else? Also, nice vacuum collection by the way!

Woo hoo! I am sure glad you saved the Electrolux Luxy! Thats the kind of vacuum worth saving. I had a experience like that with my Hoover Deluxe Convertible. It needed carbons and I lubricated the motor. She's all working good now.

Good to know... I've head from many people that the old motors were better. I'm glad that they were wrong. I guess I'm going to keep my original motor I stead of replacing it with an older one. Thanks for the info!:)

woops!! It says vibra groomer 2 on the power head! I cant believe I just noticed that...

The brushroll looks similar to that of a vibra groomer 2.

OK I think it will be a fun project! I always go for broken vacs because I feel that my ownership of them is more special when I work on them.

Also... By my opinion it's only worth the save if you are mechanically inclined, if you have the time and if you like the vacuum. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Dyson. it's your vacuum though. If you like it, have the time and if you or someone you know is mechanically inclined to fix...

Could be alot of things. It could be something very fixable like dust build up inside of the motor, or something alittle more serious like a motor bearing problem. Hopefully there's no problem at all! But has the motor bogged down at all when you used it?

Well, I think that they are definetly much better than the ones currently in production today.

I'm assuming... that ist's when the name "sanitaire" was being added on the the Eurekas. Just a guess. Cool vac, though!

Those Sanitaires deep clean well beccause... most of them come with either a vibra groomer one ot two. Also, its a dirty fan machine, so the big fan will help lift ouut that dirt and grit. Also, the sc684 is a nice machine!

PoconoVacMan- thanks for helping me understand the differences better, even though there aren't much. I never owned a Sanitair with a metal motor, so I wasn't sure if there was any performance difference. I guess now the only difference is the sound.

Nice! I have never seen one of these in that condition for a great price like that. I have wanted a Sebo like that forever, but could never find one at a price suitible to me.Great Ebay find!
