I missed the pink 652 thread but here's mine!

I read the old thread on 'Who has the earliest 652'. It was really interesting. I never knew the early ones had a bright red footswitch. Here are a few photos of my 652. If the contest was 'who has the latest 652 I think this might win - serial no JS331850. According to the manual this dates...

    Spot the New Arrival!

Just to avoid confusion, my first 160 came from London. This one is the 3rd Ive had! Yes, the 638 is mine too. It started off this whole Hoover thing over 15 years ago. I found it in the basement of a vac shop in Hampton Wick. It was an amazing place - must post a pic when I get round to...

Another pic with my original 1938 display card! A bits missing off the top. Im sure it said 'Cleaning'.

    Spot the New Arrival!

Nice to have the whole 150 ensemble Jack That hose looks in really good condition. Mine is a bit stiff and leaks like crazy! I got the 160 from a Hoover repair man in Basingstoke about 6 years ago. It had the toolkit with it. Its quite an early one. The blue band doesn't say 'ensemble', it says...

....from the desk of Henry Dreyfuss:

Lovely lineup! Very impressive machines Jack. Ive never seen a 960 - the hood looks immaculate! Walter, nice to hear that a 402 is not only complete but actually in use! The only ones Ive seen have been minus hose and tools and in very bad nick. Jon

Interested in Hoover list of models - anyone have one?

Hi everyone. Id really like to know if there is a list of US Hoover Models and dates up to 1970s. We had so few models in the UK compared to you that its really hard to work out which US models came where in comparison to ours. I know that the Model 638, for example, was like your model 63, but...

    Spot the New Arrival!

Love your 150 and 160 vintagehoover! The 160 was one of my dream finds some years ago – it was sitting in a collectables shop in East London (complete with original 160 bag – Hoover lettering with blue lines under) but it wasn’t one of the collectables! The guy said they had found it in the...

    Filter for older Constellation???

Hi there. I think that the UK Connie filters will fit yours. We had the model 82 and 86 (822 and 862) amongst others. I enclose a link to a current eBay UK auction for a filter. Looks like a replacement, not genuine Hoover, but might be worth trying? Best wishes, Jonathan...

    My Hoover Model 638

As requested, here are some photos of my Model 638! The serial No is JP191620 making it late 1957. Motor is only 325 watts (no filters in those days!), but gives a pretty good clean. Note the blue 'Disposall' bag support, the only bit of the 638 in the lighter blue of the toolkit. There is also...

638 Toolkit pics! Here are a few photos of my 638 cleaning tools. I found them in the basement of a vac shop in Hampton Wick in early 1993. Later on I got hold of the cloth version of the hose which came in the early toolkits - cant remember where from. Jon

Help with vac bag identification 'H' ?

Hello there. Does anyone know which manufacturer/model this bag is for? The 'H' sounds like it could be Hoover but Ive never seen one like it. It was on a Model 541 but not right for that model I dont think. Hotpoint maybe? Jon
