How to Remove the Motor from a Hoover Hooverette 2944B

Hi guys, After gaining restoration experience from my two recent finds, I thought it would be good to put those skills to use on my first cleaner, the Hooverette. However I am clueless as to how to get the motor out of it? Can anybody give me a blow by blow account on how to remove it...

    My Fabulous Hoover 427 Cylinder!

I thought it would a be a good time to show off my third vintage cleaner that I received on Saturday morning. I was contacted by a lovely lady on Facebook last week who was clearing her Father's house and offered me his Hoover 427 cylinder cleaner. This one is from December 1977 making it 36...

My very own Hoover Turbopower Plus U2602

I now have two vacuum cleaners! I got this Hoover with my 1975 Hoovermatic De Luxe 3314L, both for free. This one is dated December 1994 and is in good structural condition considering many of these crack and chip. It works 100% it just needed a good dusting inside and out. I am missing the 3...

Help trying to figure out what my Granny's last vacuum cleaner was!

THAT'S IT JAMES! So nice to finally find out what it is and see a picture of one after a decade! I'm feeling old now! Were they any good at all? I want to find one again to satisfy my childhood memories of the thing. I'm guessing they might be hard to find? James

Help trying to figure out what my Granny's last vacuum cleaner was!

Hi guys, Some you will know me from Discuss-o-Mat under the same username. I'll cut to the chase! My Granny had a canister type Electrolux vacuum cleaner that also had a facility to shampoo carpets. She had it until around 2003 when it conked out but it never gave her any trouble until then. It...

    New Here!

I think I'll take the patience route... Hi Al, I think I'll try Freecycle first as my new prepay credit card does suck my savings dry and I'm better saving for a rainy day. I think the Harlequin is a nice cleaner, can you tell me a bit about those? James.

    New Here!

It's not a dirty floor really, just some dust over time. I thought the air would rush through the gaps in the floor? I don't intend on using it daily or anything, it's more of a vintage showpiece with a purpose. What kinds of Constellations are there? I don't really know the history. James.

    New Here!

Hi all, Some of you may know me from AW.org. I am interested in collecting a small number of Hoover's for the wash house and I wouldn't mind a Hoover Constellation but I can't find one here in Ireland so Ebay seems good but how much would the postage cost? Also the wash house has a traditional...
