    Shampooing Carpeting

Rug Renovator. There's no need to switch to the Miracle head, just turn the dial on the water tank to off position, or if your model Kirby doesn't have that, put a small bit of Saran wrap on the end of the feeder hose. Once you stop the flow of suds, the brush to the nozzle will work in the...

    What is this Vacuum?

Not a Tristar. That's a Revelation! What you have is quite a find, because it's the second of what would become Compact, and dates way back to I think 1948. As for the other one, that's easy, an Electrolux 1205, going back to 1968. I know, because I used to sell them.

    Newsletter.

Thanks John: I have until early November. A buddy in Australia will be visiting and would love to see them, but all my newsletters are in storage back in Pennsylvania. Here's the cover of the Hoover issue.

    Newsletter.

I'm interested in acquiring back issues of three newsletters. The 1994 issue when the V.C.C.C. first went to Hoover. The 1995/96 Electrolux issue by Charles Richard Lester and Alex Taber, and the one with interview of Stan Kann in 1996.

    Look at this mess!

Electrolux E automatic. Topic was an ugly, over-priced vacuum cleaner, not where the seller is located. But the sale ended with no buyers. I think that speaks volumes. The reason I posted was the condition of the E automatic, and the insulting diatribe of the seller. Location isn't the issue...

    Look at this mess!

Not for some of us. I'm also one of the 'California people.' I may reside in Arizona now, but my heart is in still in San Diego.

    Look at this mess!

Electrolux E automatic. Read the long description. This person is more concerned about being ripped off than selling the machine. I personally find this insulting. We are serious collectors who know how to buy vacuum cleaners, we don't need a lecture on how to do so. What is this person...

    Look at this mess!

E automatic. Look at the cost of shipping. More than the asking price of the Electrolux. And from the look if it, I seriously doubt if it runs. Seller didn't even bother to look at info label on the underside of machine, or if one isn't there, then the patent info on the inside of front...

    Electrolux retractable cord reel question

To see the winder I'm thinking of go to todays V.O.D. this lady is using a E automatic with the winder you want. Will it fit your Electrolux? That's what need to research.

    Electrolux retractable cord reel question

Cord winder. Depends on the model, and the year. They go back to 1948, so it's possible. And these are frequently sold on eBay. Let me see what I can do. Alex Taber By the way, Caligula was a pet cat.

    The James B Kirby story

Newsletter. Hi John: Don't worry about it. There are more Kirby articles in past newsletters than you could shake a vacuum cleaner wand at.

    The James B Kirby story

Vac MadMan. If you want to know the history of Kirby email me at [email protected]. I have a lot of data on Mr. Kirby. Unfortunately my Kirby files are in Pennsylvania, with me here in Arizona, but the important records are on my computer. As for Jim Kirby, his first vacuum cleaner was a...

    First VCCC convention for me

The late Craig Long.. The backstory on Craig is quite interesting. It was early September of 1982 when John Lucia and I decided to see if people were interested in us forming a club. A few days later I sent out about fifteen form letters, and all but one wrote back with 'yes,' start the club...

    First VCCC convention for me

Gathering of the clan. While there were a few members who did not attend our early gatherings, this was basically the nucleus of the Vacuum Cleaner Collector's Club. And it was at club headquarters in Naperville, Illinois. And while I can't give the exact date, it was the first Saturday in May...
