When I had mine. I just shoved an Electrolux C bag on the inlet. Bags sometimes appear on eBay. So, you might check there! With the TriVac being a clone of the Regina Electric Broom I wasn't too impressed with it! I gave both of mine away!!!!

I just put a new belt on a ladies machine from work. I used a singer twin fan belt. A dial a matic belt may work as well.

There are several videos on YouTube on dissembling the canister. Have you tired viewing one? Maybe the motor isn’t aligned with the bag compartment or something. Have you tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned above?

I seem to remember a metal clip that supported the housing. Near the belt area. Some of my Quadraflexs have it while others do not. It could have fallen out on those too!

Those G3s have the reputation of getting dirty and dingy especially in smoking households. Looks like dirt/grime to me. I don’t think it’s a heritage II bumper the red is off and the nozzle corners are more rounded on the heritage IIs.

What about roof salesmen? I just had a roof salesman come into my house and quote me a price on a new roof. Most salesmen want to talk to you inside the home. It’s not just vacuum salesmen who want to enter your home is the point I’m trying to make. What about exterminators, repairman etc.

There is really not a circuit board in the older luxes. It’s more mechanical. It’s probably a faulty thermal cut out near the motor. I wouldn’t worry about it if it’s operating fine then continue to use it.
