I saw one in the window of a vacuum shop at Sheffield this morning it wasn't badged as Efbe Schott, I can't remember what the logo was. It actually looked a neat little machine in the flesh, I was pleasantly surprised.

Hi, Yep the DC38 is very compact I've a bit of a love/hate relationship with that cleaner, I will do a separate review and pics of it when I've cleaned it up lol The Vax is a striking design that's what made me buy it, I'm into bagless and the different dust separation system on this model...

I always hate how much dust you get out of the mattress despite vacuuming it regularly and thinking you've been sleeping on that ! :& lol

Vax call this a compact cylinder but for comparison with the DC38 it looks fairly big.

The air then goes through the 12 smaller cyclones.

The side chamber is the first stage cyclone (Vax call it the primary separator) larger debris gets flung into the main bin, hair tends to get wrapped round the cone unfortunately.

Post motor HEPA in the wheel this is a weakness with this model and the cover has a habit of falling off in use and the filter pops out so you can be vacuuming without any post motor filter until you notice!
