    Forgotten Eureka Products

The Aero was a nice looking suction unit. Not quite as common as some others. The last of the Aero suction unit body style was the Powerline canister. They were power nozzle canisters on the market at same time as WorldVac. A more economy line with cord wrap storage. There was a white and...

    Vacuum cleaner size class configuration.

Cleaning Businesses tends to have several machines and not one. The company needs something versatile with the right tools to do a job properly and there really isn't a cookie cutter machine to excel for every circumstance. A vac that does excellent on low pile commercial carpet, isn't always...

All the Way to Santa Fe, the 2023 VCCC Convention

Photos look great! Glad you all had such a great time. Kudos to the collector with a marvelous array of GE/ Premier vacuums as they are great vacuums. I have never tried their power nozzle canisters but I have tried two uprights and enjoyed them.

    (1990) Hoover Convertible U4531.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that is a genuine replacement bag from Hoover and the original bag was vinyl in either white or blue. Still a great machine and the cloth bag would be better filtration over the vinyl. Some wax rubbed on the zipper should smooth it out some. If it breaks, a...

    Maytag Hoovers with LEDs!

Incandescent bulbs in general are a little more yellow than flourescent or LED. I upgraded various power nozzles of mine to LED a little while back. Here are some photos of old versus new LED.

    Forgotten Eureka Products

Ben, I know that model, a collector brought one to the Missouri convention last year Canned hams are good machines. I've always wanted to try the Brandywine Canned Ham 1289 but have never come across one. EurekaPrince, yes I agree. I am surprised that Eureka never really had a furniture...

    Hoover PN question

I tried to take apart a Quadraflex motor and ruined it. I don't recommend doing that. Supposedly some vac shops have had luck standing the motors on end and letting aome oil seep into the bearing.

    Forgotten Eureka Products

Some of these came from FB vac group pages but here's a gathering. Unfortunately, I'm missing the Express canister. The Express was a great machine with VG3 RugMaster nozzle.

If you owned Hoover, what changes would you make?

Bring back bagged vacs and power head canisters I realize that canisters were never the true forte of Hoover but they really had some great ones! We need them back! Just imagine the possibilities that could be made with a tweaks to old model designs: Rubber coated wheels Automatic and manual...

    My New Lux Classic

The name is what it is because of company sale... Electrolux AB of Sweden was corporate owner of many appliances and floor care companies over the years. Over time they have sold off various lines. Electrolux vacuums as we know it was one of the first to go. I'd have to do research but I...

    Aerus Lux Guardian Platinum

The Platinum canister is extremely quiet and extremely powerful. I was always curious about them myself for a bit especially when I came across a friend who had a few in his shop but no hoses. I ordered a hose and I was able to try the machine when it finally arrived. Unfortunately, I have a...

(1997) Eureka Powerline Plus Bravo 2 model 7678.

Great find, looks like a nice machine. I had a similar one growing up but it only lasted 16 months in our home. It cleaned well but was loud and went through U belts quick.

    Hoover PN question

Unfortunately Quadraflex brush strips got discontinued many years ago. I tried to get Convertible, Panasonic, VGII strips to fit the slot, something and no luck unfortunately.

    Happy 114th Anniversary!!!!!!!

Happy Anniversary Vacuum Cleaner! I'm an 80s child and my family primarily had Hoover but we had some other machines too over the years. My current selection is widely varied from a Dirt Devil Featherlite upright, many Hoovers but also two Simplicitys, two Aerus canisters and more. One of my...

    Which Caddy Vac?

I agree with PanasonicVac. Either one is a good machine though!

Does A HEPA bag = HEPA filtration?

A HEPA post motor filter is a great feature to have as it captures emissions from the motor. The carbon brushes from the motor put out a lot. It also captures anything that got around or missed the bag or if there was a hole in the bag. It's nice to have a final filter

    Hoover PowerMax Deluxe canister

You're welcome! I'll try to check back in here next week and check the status. Hopefully the power nozzle housing screw slots are in good shape. I don't know why someone would take those off and not reinstall, it wouldn't function.

    Hoover Caddy Vac

Nice unit. That model was the last CaddyVac made. Original CaddyVac uprights sported the 7.3 amp motor and were rated withe Hoover Cleaning Effectiveness Per Amp Rating system of generally 18.0 - 19.5. This white one was the 12.0 amp unit when Hoover competed with Dirt Devil and Eureka who...

    Hoover PowerMax Deluxe canister

The Spectrum Replaced the Dimension 1000 To answer the question of the Hoover Dimension 1000 replacement, that would be the Spectrum. I believe there was a short time frame that the Dimension 1000 and Spectrum canister coexisted but I'm not sure for how long. The Dimension 1000/ Supremacy...
