    Pick your poison: Main equivalency!

Thanks for putting that all together. Kirby definitely isn't at the cutting edge, but the claim that their underlying technology hasn't been significantly upgraded since the original betrays a deep ignorance of the topic.

Main Equivalency! Which one would you take?

I did suggest that you remake your thread early on and remove your biases and opinions from the poll options. This thread is much better since it keeps the poll relatively neutral.

    The cordless stick vac formfactor

If we're being honest, all of these vacuums - Dyson included - are just cheap clones and knock-offs of the 1908 Hoover Model O.

    Electrolux motor bearings

Don't try to get it out in one hit lol, just a bit at a time, working your way around the circumference. I do agree that something that can pull it out straight would be better if OP is willing to buy or make the tools for that, although if it is at all stuck I would still recommend some sort...

    Electrolux motor bearings

Slide hammer with an attachment thin enough to slip under that lip near the bottom of the bearing if you want non-destructive. Or your could drill 3 small holes on the end of the housing and hammer the race out from that end. Actually you might be able to skip the holes and hammer from that end...

    Dyson Piston

I'm honestly not sure if he doesn't understand how poor his behavior is, doesn't care, or if maybe that's just his intent.

A YouTube channel named Vacuum Facts doesn’t know how bagged vacuums works.

You keep using the term AI, and I think that's what is keeping you from understanding. First, about the genius.com link you provided - I agree that translation is quite bad. However, those lyrics were originally provided by a user (DiegoRicardo) 8 years ago and last edited by another user...

A YouTube channel named Vacuum Facts doesn’t know how bagged vacuums works.

I think you might be conflating a few different things. "AI", as the term is used today, refers to an unfortunately wide range of technologies. It's become so non-specific that it's lost any useful meaning. Regarding machine translation, there are multiple distinct technologies used. One these...

Main Equivalency! Which one would you take?

Much better options. I chose 'other' since I prefer a central vacuum for most things, and so if I were to get a cordless I would want it to be able to run off of my existing tool batteries instead of having a dedicated one just for the vacuum. I currently use Makita 18 V LXT, so that would...

ChatGPT is great at translating - much better than Google Translate, especially in taking context into account when doing so.

Best small non-natural fiber dusting attachment?

Just certain commercial practices I'd rather not support. It's perfectly possible to ethically source those materials (sort of like @cheesewonton was describing), but unfortunately there's almost always just a mix of sources involved and pretty much no transparency about it. Maybe I should just...

Best small non-natural fiber dusting attachment?

I already have a longer one for larger surfaces, but I was thinking something smaller for detail work would be nice. Most of the well-rated ones seem to be natural fiber, which I'd like to avoid. Here are a few I'm considering: 1. Bissel 2031527 style 2. Dyson 972157-01 clones: 3...

    Dyson Piston

Yup. Obviously there is some point at which you should be precleaning an area before using a regular residential-use vacuum on it (mostly just large pieces), but if that point is a bit of oats and tea leaves...

    Dyson Piston

It seems to me like they really wanted to lean into the cone shaped brushes, maybe just an attempt to stand out or something. There's no way they weren't at least partially aware of its performance issues. But I agree, they probably will move away from them soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the...

    Dyson Piston

I don't have to be personally insulted to call out uncivil behavior. Most of the negative responses you have received here are a response to that behavior, not to your Dyson fanaticism that you seem to attribute it to. It would be an interesting experiment for you to go for a few weeks without...

You can go on and on ironically ignoring facts and insulting random people on the internet that have so angered you, but that's not going to make the thing vacuum any better.
