The Tools!!! I'm really excited that it came with all the tools too!    It will be interesting to see how this 3.5 amp motor works with the hose and tools.

    Eureka 271 Upright!!!

The only issue is the brush roll.  It's making a lot of noise, so I'm guessing the problem with this end cap.  I'll have to address that soon.  Other than that, the motor purrs like a kitten.

    Eureka 271 Upright!!!

It has the tried and true 3.5 amp two speed motor.  This is the first two speed Eureka that I've ever owned.  Can someone tell which is the normal operational speed? Hi or Low?

    Eureka 271 Upright!!!

I really don't know the age of the vacuum but I'm guessing that it was made in the late 60s or early 70s.  I'm not sure, but the bag appears to be a replacement from the 80s or 90s.  I think the cord is a replacement as well.

    Eureka 271 Upright!!!

I'm always happy to acquire a new vacuum to play with, but I'm really EXCITED about this recent Ebay purchase.  There was only one other bidder besides me, so my apologies to any club member if I was bidding against you!    For its age, it is in excellent cosmetic shape too!

    Silver King Question

Thanks for the information!  I've thought through this scenario:  One is to remove the three pin lead wire from the old Silver King PN and install it on a different PN.  The other is to try and find an adapter that will convert a 3 pin cord to a 2 pin cord.  I once had one of those that was made...

    Silver King Question

I've been thinking about getting a Silver King if I can find one at a decent price.  But does anyone know if it uses the same hose coupler at the machine end as a Tristar CXL?  I've been watching some of their YouTube videos, and it certainly looks like the same design.    The older power...

I wonder if the Avalier's new shampooer will work on the current Sentria.  I assume it will.  Does anyone know for sure?

New member with a Rainbow D4SE problem

I think you'd still be able to put the motor together.  The only problem is that things would rattle around in the fan housing and you'd notice that pretty quickly.

If the baffle plate isn't tamped down and seated properly, it will bind against the spider.  You might check that.  I always just install a brand new one, because the old one can easily get bent when removing it.  The baffle is the round silver looking thing under the spider.
