Fixing My Kirby G4: One Step At A Time

I asked for a full refund including shipping, but I don't expect to get it. They did advertise it as fully functional, so I may open a paypal dispute if she refuses to even give me a partial refund. I am also covered under EBAY buyer protection. I have started the disassembly process, and it is...

Fixing My Kirby G4: One Step At A Time

Thank you for all your feedback. I am thinking of tearing it down today and cleaning everything while I wait for my axle. I am not exactly sure what on it is broken, but it is somewhat of a mess. It turns on and turns off at its pleasure, it looks like some wires may be sparking in the back...

Fixing My Kirby G4: One Step At A Time

Those whom have read my initial thread to this forum, know that I purchased a Kirby G4. Unfortunately, I did not know what I was getting myself into when I bought it from a "reputable" seller on Ebay. The thing is a wreck. The seller purposely used specific camera angles to try and hide...

Was this a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80?

Hmm, I could sware this is the one, the badge on the bag looks tight and everything, same with the way the bag is tucked into the vacuum head.

Was this a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80?

Actually, I just found out what it was. It was not full on green, it was the Kirby Omega, with the green bag. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/KIRBY-VINTAGE-UPRIGHT-VACUUM-OMEGA-VERY-NICE-WORKS-GREAT-/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/$(KGrHqJHJC!E9r(d7UysBPlfgufS5Q~~60_57.JPG That zipper on the back, that is where...

Trash find G3 - questions about fixing it up

Hmm, the Kirby G3 I had ofted had a burning smell after picking up large debris or the belt breaking (The g3 goes through a lot of belts), but other than that I have no idea. Perhaps it might be wise to take it to a professional if your knowledge is limited.

Dyson DC12 Telescopic Pipe & Hose

Although I am no fan of Dyson due to their cuthroat and lie-filled marketing strategies, but the DC12 is quite an interesting little vacuum. I would propose it could be possible to build your own hose provided you gave some duct tape lying around. Of course, it would be hideous to look at, but...

Momma's got a brand new vac...

Looks to be a pretty nice vac. I am not a fan of plastic vacuums, but it looks to be of good quality, and has good styling.

Was this a Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80?

I can't figure it out and it is keeping me up at night. Before my dad found a Kirby G3, we had another Kirby. No tranmission, hard to move, but I liked it. But I don't remember all the details, I must have only been eight years old or so. It had a green bag with green accents, so it is down...

Installing Kevlar Fan In Kirby Generation 4?

Okay, understood. But every "white fan" I look at says it is constructed of Kevlar, and none of you have said that is incorrect. Is it or is it not constructed from kevlar?

Installing Kevlar Fan In Kirby Generation 4?

http://appliances.lovetoknow.com/Kirby_Vacuum_Cleaners According to this site, the G5 and above did have a Kevlar fan. I did see this multiple places. Would it be worth getting a kevlar fan? I have seen them on EBay.

Installing Kevlar Fan In Kirby Generation 4?

I have done research, and according to everything I can find, the G3 and G4 had metal fans, and then fans became Kevlar after that point. I have even watched videos of people talking a G4 apart to replace the metal fan (as it had dents). Are you guys SURE? Some sources would be nice.

Installing Kevlar Fan In Kirby Generation 4?

Hello, my name is Wolffe, I turned 15 just yesterday, and I am a vacuum enthusiast. I have always been a Kirby fan since a boy. My dad one day brought home a Kirby he found in the trash (my dad was a druggy, so that may not be true), which I believe to be the Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80 (It may...
