Just useful machines, generally pre-1930, save for a Royal 880 which somehow slipped in, and a modern Kirby (a 505)
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
A Wireless Vacuette, and the earliest version of the Premier Duplex fitted with a good original bag.
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
I was fascinated by any mechanisms, and so was attracted to vacuum cleaners, just as I was to clocks, motors, engines, etc.
My mother had an early Eureka, I think a model 5 or 7. Somewhat like the famous model 9, but with more stamped steel parts, and a differently shaped nozzle.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
I have always used older (pre-1930) appliances, vacuums are no exception.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
I worked in an appliance repair shop whilst I was in High School, before the War.
