Current Vacuum collection
Most of my collection is consisted of antique vacuum cleaners some dating back to the early 1920's, hoover baby model 103 that i have, made in 1920.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
a scott and fetzer sanitation system vacuum completely factory original. I have a early 1929 health mor sanitation system vacuum/an early private label royal but it need's a factory original bag, cord and handel top angled piece/with wooden grip.
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
I used to be so scared of my dad's kirby g5, i still have it now in my collection, that i would run up to my parents room, shut the door and make refuge on the bed. i was only a little kid. now im crazy over my antique/vintage vacuum collection and have many rare machines from the 20's, 30's etc.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
when i first got into vacuum collecting i used to have a kirby 505 and 1920's straight suction royal upright vacuum, me only being a young kid, when they broke i threw them away instead of fixing them. i was only a young kid and do regret it a little, but i'm ok now.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Many and i'm very good at it. I got hired to work a local vacuum store in my home town of Frederick, MD. I just got done a few days ago restoring a 1923 GE upright vacuum, all factory original. It took me months.
