I currently have a SEBO E2 Turbo, Kirby III Heritage Ed, a collection of Rigid and ShopVac brand vacuums (3 to be exact) and two Shark models- a corded stick (HV382) and a cordless pod (P50)
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
Good question... Id love to find a Sebo X4 with Boost (though have limited practical applications for it) and Id love a ZeroG. The old Rainbow vacuums have fascinated me (uncle had one when I was a kid, and I was fascinated with how dirty the water would get.)
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
My parents had a late 80s AirStorm that I enjoyed using as a kid.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Most of them I have purchased new, with the exception of the Kirby. That was a gift from a coworker of my fathers when I was about 8 years old.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Not much in the way of restoration, but Id say that Im reasonably handy, and can fix and maintain my vacuums without a problem.
The trick that Ive learned is having a good line on parts... EBay and other websites have certainly helped with that. Ive also done large appliance repair (again, on appliances that Ive collected or owned).
