    thanks guys, got it working. Once i got the vacuum open i saw that one of the electrical wires that goes from a hose contact to the motor was unplugged. Plugged it back in and it worked. This vacuum was serviced years ago, they probably forgot to plug it in..and since nobody used the powerhead...

    sorry i put my readings as amps, it was all volts..so even with the vacuum on i never measured past 1.9 vac when i stuck the leads directly on the metal contacts (where the hose connects). thanks blknblu, ill check out the wiring.

    hi guys, my mom has an electrolux e2000 with the pn2000 power head (canadian). The power head has been used maybe a handful of times so its been sitting for probably 20+ years..but we now need to put it to use. There are no buttons or switches on the wand or the power head so im guessing...
