What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
Earliest: Hoover Elite Soft&Lite (navy-blue/denim-print outer bag on front)
For 27 years my favorite machine: Kirby self-propelled models
Since then, I bought a Miele C3 and now that is my ultimate favorite machine, but I still love my Kirby and several of my other vacuums.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Here are the ones I can personally remember owning starting from my teenage years up to today, but there are many I cannot remember. Many cheap dirt devils, Bissells, Hoovers, Eurekas, etc.
- Sebo: E3 Premium, D4 Premium
- Rainbow: E2 Silver
- Hoover: Tempo, Windtunnel High Performance, Windtunnel Twin-Chamber, PowerMax (upright), Elite Runabout or Soft&Light (circa 1992/3)
- Electrolux: Olympia? (Classic vintage Tan/beige with braided hose)
- Eureka: x2 TheBoss’ (traditional bag on back version plus a second one like the WorldVac design, but it was dark green), Whirlwind.
- Kirby: G4, G6, Ultimate G Diamond Edition
- Dyson: Ball Animal II (UP20)
- Kenmore: Progressive (salsa red, circa 2006?)

Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Yes! Rainbows, Sebo, Miele, Shark, Kirby, Oreck. I have worked on all that I own. I have torn down many of them to give them a deep clean, to see how they work, and/or to repair them; all except for my Hyla EST Defender.
