No, we got it over here too. It is obvious that its not a true convertible, it won't hold the carpet up on a cushion of Air like a true convertible. And wouldn't last nearly as long.

I've used, and bought the magnesium. It's a great, great deep cleaner. It pulled my area rugs up off the floor. Very impressive. Built quality is ok. The handle feels really flimsy. But I'd highly recommend it.
