I started collecting when I was in preschool. Over the years, I have let some go, and I completely regret it. I am very attached to each and every vacuum I acquire, and I am very protective of them. They all stay at my grandparents house in a humidity-controlled room in the basement for that reason.

What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
My earliest vacuum memory is bring a toy Dirt Devil for show and tell in preschool. My favorite vacuum memory is when I recommend a particular model for someone and they love it.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
I have vacuum cleaner models from the early 1900s to 2013. I am very fussy about cleaning all of them, but sometimes that means repairs. I usually manage to pull through on most of them though!
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Yes, I clean and repair them in my free time as a hobby. I find old machines at goodwill, garage sales, etc. and when I have time, I clean and restore them.
