Hi all. I bought this Electrolux E-2000 today, and although it seems to work fine, it has an interesting issue. The 'Protection' light is on all the time, but despite this, the vacuum turns on as normal. Anyone ever see this before? Did the thermal switch perhaps fail, and someone bypassed it...

Another hose? Is there any other type of hose that fits these? The hose in the older Dirt Devil 192 attachment kit is the same except white in color, and I think even the hose the originally came with these is the same as that.

Hi Ben - I don't see any cracks in the hose, nor can I blow through the hose when I cover one end and blow into the other end, but for my sake I hope you're right! As long as I don't have to fear that I did something wrong to the motor when I lubricated it.
