The Home Depot
The Home Depot did a great job matching the paint on my Hoover 26. Get the sample size of Behr Marquee (built in primer) Remove the hood, and blot it on with a foam (sponge-type) brush. It'll come out well.
How much is the brown Eureka
How much is the brown Eureka in photo 17? If the price is right and it works (and you can hold onto it) I am definitely interested in it.
Hi!
I haven't seen the 2041 before. It looks like my 260-EK with Dial a Nap.
Paul--this looks great! I'm still working out some of the serial number ranges.
Hi!
I got my first railed Electrolux, a blue LX. It was absolutely filthy when I got it. After cleaning it, I noticed that there is a large dent in the side. How would I remove the panels to remove the dent? Also, is there a serial number database for Electroluxes?
If you're looking for a good vintage vacuum, I have consigned three to the Seattle Antiques Market, 1400 Alaskan Way:
1939 Eureka Model K, new cord, $75

Royal metal upright, red, $50

I've been consigning
I've been consigning mine at the Seattle Antiques Market, 1400 Alaskan Way, in Seattle. Right now, I have a blue Hoover Convertible and a Royal there.
Thanks!
Paul,
Thanks! I'm glad I could help!
Hoover300--The scrapbooks contain a lot of the info. Really, the key is to ask them more about the periods. I'll save that for my next round. (They have a very small staff.)
<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: 12pt;">Here is some of the data from the shipping record, which I have reformatted slightly. My hunch is that serial number 75037 (May 1964) is the last 260-B before it was replaced with the 260-E. (It's circled and underlined on the...
