    Hoover model 541 Brush Roll

Thank you all for the helpful info, i think i will be able to use the diagrams in the links Huskyvacs sent to do it myself as it doesn't seem too complicated. As shown in the Pictures it appears someone in the past has glued in fairly modern bristles at some point which seem to be holding but...

    Hoover model 541 Brush Roll

A few years back I purchased an early 1920s Hoover model 541 upright vacuum in somewhat poor shape. Just recently I have gotten around to cleaning it up, and one of the issues I want to try and address is the brush roll. In its current state, it is useable, however, some of the bristles are...

    Rexair Model B Main Bearings??

Oh, and one more question i have on these old rexair vacuums, which might be a shot in the dark. I have the tank gasket for my model b and it's in fairly decent shape, however the one for my model c is missing and i was just curious if there were any good way to replace that or if i'm just SOL...

    Rexair Model B Main Bearings??

I just recently picked up two old Rexair vacuums, one is a model B and one is a model C. They both run, the C runs great, however the bearings on the B are going bad due to age and moisture. I've been trying to find what little info i can on these things and possible part numbers and was hoping...

    Royal model 297 Hand Vacuum

Ah that does make more sense as i was wondering myself why they would be making vacuums during a world war haha! Anyway I wonder how old that makes it, if its post war or possibly pre war, who knows, i'm not sure how long they continued to make this style and if they made them into the early...

    Royal model 297 Hand Vacuum

Thanks for the reply Jeff. There's currently a 157 on eBay for something like $70 but i haven't payed it much attention yet. The only noticeable difference between the 297 and 157 that i can tell from pictures is the Royal brand goes the width of the bag while the 297's brand goes the length of...

    Royal model 297 Hand Vacuum

I just recently bought a pretty neat little antique Royal model 297 hand vacuum on eBay. I've been trying to do some more research on these little vacuums, however i haven't found much on the older ones. I believe it was made between the late 1930s and 1940s but i could be wrong, i haven't been...

    Singer R4D questions

Just picked up this vacuum from a dumpster this evening and went through it to make sure it was all there before I plugged it in. The bearings and wiring are all good however the brushes are pretty nicked up and the armature (I think that’s what it’s called that the brushes ride on if not...
