hey ! The basic shape of this cleaner is just like our UK Goblin Rio which went on sale in the early 1980's. I recall that Shop-Vac was once part of Goblin, although i was lead to belive it was the Australian side of the company. Maybe i was misinformed. How old is this cleaner?

vax/vacs/short names hi there just reading with interest the discussion of shortened-names....i must be honest it doesnt both me one way or the other, certainly i'd sooner hear a vacuum refered to as a 'vac' as opposed to a 'Hoover' because in many cases the 'Hoover' is in fact not a Hoover...
