I dont have a collection yet, but I do have a Kirby G4 presently. I love this machine it cleans wonderfully and can do just about anything you can think of. The shampoo kit comes in handy as well!
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
I would like an old Eureka canister that my Mom had and traded in for the Kirby. She bought it in the mid 80s when her previous Eureka she got when she and my Father got married in 1972, took its last breath and died. Ive also used my Grandmothers Kenmore Progressive Canister. She got it a couple of years ago and I had the pleasure of using it while I was staying with her and my father. Great suction and carpet grooming, and pretty quiet as well. I wouldnt mind having one myself. Plus, Ive been curious about the new Shark Navigator Lift Away. Seems like a pretty good performer at a budgeted price.
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
I remember my Moms red Eureka canister. I liked watching her vacuum but hated the sound. It went out eventually and she bought another Eureka in the mid 80s. She loved it since it had the motorized power head as her previous one was just straight suction. I slightly remember the first time I vacuumed with it, the whole floor head and tubes were taller than me! So my Dad took out off one of the tubes to make it easier for me to use.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Well not me personally but my Mom had....
