Eureka I should have added remove bumper but you probably did when removing screws. You might try flexing the corner of the hood to get a bit more clearance.

Nice! Eureka -- --with most if not all deluxe features. That hood style is not common and as I recall you have to move the handle up and down as you move the hood back and forth until it will lift off.
