What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
Using my mothers Electrolux XXX as a child. It was probably the start of my attraction to Electrolux vacuums. Mom would get a new Electrolux every 10 years and her last was an Olympia. She now uses Miele.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
All the vacuums in my collection except for the Olympia, I have purchased on EBAY. The LX was purchased on EBAY from the original owner and had the sales receipt, and original bags. The Olympia was the first vacuum I purchased new and still use it to this day. It is in mint condition. I am a fanatic about the care of my vacuums. When it is time to change the bag, I will clean the entire vacuum, inside and out, and then polish the exterior. I recently gave away my 12 year old Aerus Legacy that I used daily. The receiver of this vacuum was astonished to find out the age of this vacuum. She thought it was brand new. I have a second Electrolux Model LX that I use in my laundry room to vacuum the lint out of the dryer. It is my 36 pound dust buster. In my opinion, the styling of the LX is the pinnacle of vacuum design. A beautiful piece of working art.
