On facebook I have been seeing teaser ads about Sebo having real black Friday deals. Any vacuum dealers know what is being offered? There seem to be some deals on Miele on amazon. No idea if vac shops have better offerings?
Your advice was perfectly reasonable Jake. My time is somewhat limited, and my main reason for asking was to determine how much it would take to make the Rainbow work again. I don't know how much I want to invest in this machine. My wife isn't particularly interested in her Mom's old vacuum...
Hello Tom,
Assuming you are correct (based on your extensive experience and expertise), what would need to be done to fix the Rainbow? Is the motor shot? Is it even worth fixing? Thanks.
Hi. Was using inherited rainbow d4c which seemed a little loud since we got it. While it was running, it suddenly started running quiet but has electric burning smell. Any idea what might be wrong with it?
Thanks. The beginning of a tear is very close to the metal pole that goes into the poles with the power nozzle. Can the metal pole part of hose be removed to repair and shorten?
Just curious. Is the only difference between the wet and dry hose, that the dry hose has the external wire?
I have inherited a Rainbow D4c with a split developing in the electrical hose fairly close to the metal at the top. This d4c has the older rectangular power nozzle. I don't want to pay a fortune for a new hose. I thought I'd try Self-fusing Silicon tape. Is there something better to use...
Costco has a very generous return policy. There's a minimum of 90 days to return most objects. What is the return policy for Kirby vacuums sold at Costco? It looks like vacuums sold on kirby.com will have a 30 day return window with a $100 fee for returns (more if vac damaged).
central vacs are only as good as the install. Unfortunately some contractors aren't worth much, and the systems are leaky and weak. If installed correctly, they can be wonderfully quiet and powerful.
