Monk... I looked up on youtube "monk vacuum" and it appears he uses a Eureka Victory type upright. Also in the opening that whirlpolf posted, the hose hook is on the side of the handle. I will post the link as well. Hope this helps :o).

Does low speed really work? Yes it does! I use my Grandmum's Rainbow on low speed all the time and it works so well. She has four dogs and the dander and even dog hair it gets out of the air is amazing! We vacuum first and then use the air purifier and use the scents in it and it works so...

My Mom had one too... It was Burgundy. Cleaned great and was pretty quiet. Replaced a Dirt Devil Featherlight, so everything seemed quiet after that one LOL. I would go back and get it too!
