    Central Vacuum powerhead - advice

Thanks! That would be awesome. Do you have the original turbocat or the turbocat zoom?

    Central Vacuum powerhead - advice

Thanks! I just finished cleaning - first with the central vac and turbo brush, then with the kenmore ultra-plush canister - man, the canister is so much more pleasant to push across the carpet! I did spend a bunch of time looking at it - this uses the much nicer, newer style filter (from what...

    Central Vacuum powerhead - advice

So here is my dilemma. I currently have a central vac & a few kenmore vacuums (1 upright, 2 canisters include the new soft clean one for my ultra plush carpet). A while ago I got rid of my electric hose & powerhead - I didn't like the electric hose - too much to fiddle with the pigtail, didn't...

Central Vac - working vacuum pressure

So I did a test with my central vac. I put a suction meter against one of the inlets and then plugged my hose & powerhead into another outlet -- the idea being this would tell me the working pressure in the system (instead of the fully sealed). My central vac has the Ametek 116119 motor (...

Fuller Brush canister - power head quality?

Anyone know what the powerhead is like on this one? http://fullerbrushvacuums.com/fuller-brush-home-maid-power On their own website it is pricey, but it isn't hard to find this canister + powerhead going for about 250ish online. Too good of a deal to be true? Major shortcomings? Has anyone...

    Crucial Vacuum Bags

Has anyone had any luck using these? http://www.crucialvacuum.com/vacuum-bags/kenmore-5055-50557-50558-cloth-bags-9pk.html Any good? As good as other synthetic cloth bags? Thanks!

Vac recommendations - vacation lake house

Thanks all! I should have clarified - the idea is that the vacuum (and other supplies) would be locked up - and only used by us and the cleaning person -- we just aren't at the point of needing a regular cleaner yet so we don't have that worked out to ask his/her preference. At least, when we...

Vac recommendations - vacation lake house

So we recently bought a lake house -- we'll close in a few weeks. After what I predict are some weekends full of a lot of backbreaking hard work to renovate & fix things up, we are thinking of renting it out, probably next summer season, as a weekend rental. I'm looking for thoughts on a good...

    What should I buy?

This thread? Is this the thread you were talking about? http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?23791 I am assuming there are differences in the UK Panasonic v.s. what you would have here, but still, wow!

    Centec powerhead brushrolls

I have a question about centec powerheads. So they use the poly-v grooved belt instead of a flat belt or a geared belt. Looking closely at one, you can easily see at the motor that the v-belt grooves are there. But, it doesn't really look like the wooden brushroller has grooves - I see very...

Question about Riccar generic central vac powerhead

Thanks! So it wouldn't work without replacing the neck. Probably makes the local deal less of a deal :)

Question about Riccar generic central vac powerhead

I had a question about this: http://shop.riccar.com/p/central-vacuum-fit-all-vacuum-nozzle/vacuum-kits-accessories_central-vacuum-accessories?pp=12 Does anyone know if you can buy just the wand? Does this version have a special neck or is it simply a want that connects to the Riccar style...

    Budd Central Vacuums

Has anyone seen / heard of Budd central vacuums? buddvac.com I stumbled upon them last week. The idea of having a built in paddle to shake off the inverted bag filter seems quite smart! Does it actually work in practice? Looks like they use 7.2" motors in all their models.
