    Career as a vacuum designer

Hi, everyone, I have a thought of having a career as a vacuum designer, and I wonder if anyone can recommend schools that can teach students about subjects that are necessary when these students would later intend to design vacuum cleaners on their own. I can guess that the things in the...

    Crevice tool hack

Hello, anyone visiting the Vaccuumland website, I haven't added more posts in the Vacuumland website lately due to the fact that I was busy with other things. But now, there's a news that I would like to share. It's that, around two months before I added this post, one of my brothers, who...

Worn bristles on decent quality bare floor tool

Hello, everyone, I haven't been active in the Vacuumland forum lately but recently, there's a concern that I would like to share with you. Around a year ago, I bought the Wessel Werk bare floor tool modeled D 300 for the Numatic James at my workplace and then, recently, I noticed something...

Switches on appliances with unpolarized plugs

MadMan, Yes I'm in Canada and you have your own opinion about the electrical subjects, that's fine. About the "crap" plugs that we use in USA and Canada, I came across some articles where it's said that our electric system is primitive compared to the ones across Europe, but off course, I...

2 new tools for Numatic James

A few weeks before posting this thread, I bought 2 new nozzles, by ordering them from Johnny Vac, for the Numatic James at my workplace, both of which are from Wessel Werk. At some point before that, I got the brushless nozzle modeled RD 285 and I made an attempt to soften the rubber strips...

Switches on appliances with unpolarized plugs

In case you don't know, I'm trying to tell you that an appliance with an unpolarized plug, (which can be inserted in 2 different orientations in the socket and which is often the case in the countries of mainland Europe) should be designed with a double-pole switch that would cut the flows of...

Attempt to soften the rubber strips of the RD 285

So recently, I realized that I could actually just remove the rubber strips from the nozzle by pulling them off. D'oh! Thanks for the info anyway, guys!

Attempt to soften the rubber strips of the RD 285

So, you may have remembered that I bought the brushless bare floor tool from Wessel Werk (modeled RD 285). I should have posted this thread a month sooner but I was either too busy or I forgot to post the thread about what I'm going to talk about. Here's the subject. I made an attempt to soften...

Switches on appliances with unpolarized plugs

Hi, it's Moderneezer. There's something that has gotten into my mind lately which relates to electric wiring. It's about switches on appliances with unpolarized plugs. Inform yourselves about the difference between polarized and unpolarized plugs, and also about the different plug shapes in the...

    Brushless nozzle from Wessel Werk

Hi guys, it's Moderneezer again. A few weeks ago, I bought the Wessel Werk brushless nozzle modeled RD 285 at the Chapman boutque (a store in my city of residence that sells vacuum cleaners and other things). I watched several videos on YouTube about this attachment (including some in the...

    Numatic James for my workplace

Now, let's go with the design problems. One is... Just look at the way the attachements are stored in the 1st picture. The storage system on a Filter Queen is much better than the one on James. I did buy the attachment holder to ease things out, although one accessory drops off sometimes when I...

    Numatic James for my workplace

Either end of the handle can get connected to the hose. The configuration in the top picture suits me better because of my height (I'm tall) while the one in the bottom picture is for short people. It's a nice feature, but Miele did better with the design of the hoses, wands and handles of it's...

    Numatic James for my workplace

The prongs on James' plug are a bit misaligned. However, the canister still works great. It is implied, in the wiring diagram in one of the manuals, that James has a double-pole switch which I think that it's common sense to incorporate it if a vacuum canister has an unpolarized plug.

    Numatic James for my workplace

Here are the other items that came with James. Of these items, James came with two bags, one of them already installed when he was packaged. The third picture shows James with the top off and a bag installed, the bottom side of the top and the large round filter, which was already installed too.

    Numatic James for my workplace

Hello, everyone, It's Moderneezer again. I haven't been very active in the Vacuumland forums lately but I have something to share with you. I was hired by a company almost 2 years ago where I work (it's only a part-time job) as a janitor. The company that I work for deals with children with...
