I agree with James - I would wait for something better. That is one of the worst I have seen for a while. Getting it to a presentable level would be costly & labour intensive. The pitting can run deep into the castings and require the removal of a fair amount of material.

I know this is a long shot... I'm looking for some NOS BLUE Kirby Tradition wheels - preferably the versions which take the chrome hub caps. Image enclosed.
All of the outlets that claim to supply these don't actually have any in stock - and Kirby have ceased production now.

All the best with your restoration Matt. It is indeed a very worthwhile and rewarding process. Once restored and set up properly - these Kirbys are a formidable force in the cleaner arena.

The Classic III is my favoured Kirby design - I have restored a few and am in the midst of restoring another at this time. I would very much like to restore a Classic Omega at some point in the future.
