As of now, I own 6 Electrolux: 2 model 1205's,a xxx,an LX, an Olympia One 1401-b, and a teal model G. I have a Hoover Convertible, 2 Kirbys: a Heritage II and a Dual Sanitronic 50. Also, I own a 1940's hand held Westinghouse, 2 hand held dirt devils, a Hoover brush vac, a Sears Kenmore Twin Fans, and an Electrolux B-8 (1205 teal) model. This is only the beginning for a crazy collector like me!
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
I wouldn't mind owning a Hoover celebrity, a blue Electrolux xxx, a pink modeled Hoover Convertible, a 1940's General Electric hand held, and of course more Electrolux canisters!
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
When I was about 8 years old, my Grandma gave my mom her Electrolux model 1205 because she was moving. I remember that vacuum as being the only one we ever used! I just acquired it from my dad and will be restoring it in the near future! That vacuum has sparked a new hobby for me!
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Yes, I rebuilt the motor and power head for my Electrolux 1205 named "Luxy". I'm in the process of rebuilding the motor in my Electrolux xxx and Electrolux LX. I restore tube radios, small vintage appliances, and chainsaws!!! I'm adding vacuums as a new hobby to learn and restore.
