I have a Kirby Avalir 2 bought off Facebook for $90. It was only 3 months old and still looks brand new.

I have a Rainbow E2 Blue I got brand new as a gift for selling enough Rainbows when I was 14.

I recently received my deceased grandmothers Hyla N Series she bought new in 2001. She passes away years ago and I thought I’d never see it again but I found it on my front porch a week ago and it still runs. It has a weird pitch to the motor when turned on but it still cleans very well. I am looking to get it serviced by a vacuum shop very soon.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
The new Rainbow SRX, Miele C3 Unique canister, the new Hyla EST. I believe my Kirby cleans carpet much better but the water vacs seem to clean the air very well. When I can see a lot of dust in the sunlight by the windows, I will run the Rainbow for an hour or so and then the dust is gone in the sunlight so that is proof enough for me that it cleans the air. My allergies go away within a day after doing that so experience proves that the air cleaning does work, despite the claims of numerous tests stating that these machines don’t clean the air.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
I took apart my Rainbow E2 to “service” it myself think there would be a lot of dust above the separator. My mom used it without enough water in it and it pulled up so much pet fur I though surely it got up in the machine. It did not. It was very clean and that’s after years of using it multiple times a week.
