It all started out with a Hoover Elite style upright, my Hoover Encore supreme. I was supposed to have only one vac, but that was until I found my first Hoover Deluxe Convertible. Two became three when I got a Sanitaire SC 887 for Christmas two years ago. This is when my collection started to form. I now have a variety of dirty fan uprights, like my Sanitaire and Royal, and clean air machines, like my original Fantom vacuum and my Eureka Victory vacuum.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
Any Windsor Versamatic with an 18 inch base. Also, I am curretly looking for an Electrolux Aptitude upright. All Regina Housekeeper models are also on the list.
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
When I was 4 years old, my parents had a Eureka Bravo vacuum. Because of that vacuum, the Bravos are quite special to me. They remind me of when I was little.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
my parents went through numerous department store vacuums over the years. That all stopped when I started my own vacuum collection.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
I am very mechanicly inclined. I have worked on many vacuum motors, especially ones from dirty fan vacuums.
