Does the samsung perform worse on carpets/hardfloors compared to the dyson vacs?

The robot is the first piece they have completely outsourced, however, they began outsourcing internal job positions years ago. It began with support agents, they told employees from the US & UK that they were there to help them out and would not take their jobs. Within 10 months most teams had...

It's no speculation that Dyson has been cutting on every single corner that impacts product design and engineering. A company that is product-first would never do that. They are well aware of it and it most likely does not matter, Dyson has a brand that can take a lot of hits before it impacts...

What makes you think he is not the root source of it? Do you think he did not participate in the firing of almost every UK engineer throughout the years, or the outsourcing of almost every single role? The amount of copium is insane, this is not some evil C-level move being done by...

I doubt there is room to fix manufacturing issues, the brush looks like the old models that were prone to tangling on older robots (namely roborock, eufy, etc). Which is also identical to the brush used by irobot on their Picea-based robots, just with a different color palette. All of which...

On a demo this basic, and controlled by dyson, they managed to tangle the robot vacuum. Seriously how did this product go past any manager and QA is beyond my comprehension.

Correct, robots have been confirmed to be Picea and air purifier is to be determined. I'm afraid there is no innovation on these, the only novelty is the dock station empty bin which I have my doubts will be using Dysons IP but a copycat (see example of chinese robot with almost the same...

Recent updates seem to confirm that Dyson is indeed using third party manufacturers to design and mass produce some of their products. There is also a news chinese site that interviewed the CEO who mentioned a "long term cooperative relationship with companies such as iRobot, LG, Phillips...

Outsourced being that they are using a generic ODM with minimal modifications to brand it as a Dyson product. I wouldn't say the vacuums fall into this category, however, the robot vacuum that was leaked looks like any other rounded generic version you'd find on the market.

The designs of the to-be announced products leaked and people (on reddit) are complaining about some products looking outsourced, that'd be brutal!

You are giving them too much credit, dyson is a hardware company and their software is awful when compared to any competitor.

A friend worked there until 2021-2022 and was part of an engineering team, he left our of frustration. He was okay taking a pay cut just to join dyson (he was told he'd be able to do plenty of R&D, horizontal company, etc). Not at all, maybe 10-15 years ago it was like that, nowadays engineers...

I used to love Dysons but they have had a tremendous downfall in the last 3-5 years, they started with post-sales service being affected (when they onboarded outsourced agents, they told 'local' agents that their jobs were safe). Just under a year after that, most of them were fired. They then...

robot vacuums have had this trend where they get more expensive while being worse vacuums (decent robots though). Most of the robovacs are closer to sweepers than vacuums, dyson is the only exception.

New robot vacuum to be announced it seems!
