Here is the mini collection of vacuums I have. A '99 Royal 2025, '94 Royal 9700, D4 Rainbow, '85 Royal prince 501 and a Electro Hygiene 501 which I can't figure out the year made on that one. In the other room there is a new hoover windtunnel

Thanks for the info John; I will continue to do the same as what you were doing. I'm new to these vacuums so i'm still learning about them. My 2025 has the drop in motor so I can't add oil to it.

John, I figured there were some people looking at it and I knew if I waited a few days it would be gone considering the era the vacuum was made. I was looking for a Royal that was a 6 or 7 amp that was loaded with all the bells and whistles; cause like others have said the 9 to 10 amp are loud...

Hey; my Royal 2025 finally arrived today! :) I tried it out as soon as I took it out of the box and all I can say is wow!! It does an amazing job. The two question's I have is what maintance is required on these things and the light on this vacuum flikers a little bit..maybe a loose conection?

I don't know if the carbon brushes have been replaced. The seller told me that the vacuum was at the vacuum shop to be cleaned and tested before she sold it to me. I am guessing that is why it has been polised. Still waiting for it to arrive to my door step.

I asked this in an earlier post; what is everyone's a must have Royal upright vacuum? I am new to these vacuums; I just purchased a 2025 model and a Royal Prince 501 Hand held and can't wait for them to arrive!!
