Got the new motor installed. This vacuum hasn't worked this well in a LONG time. I just found a new hose for it and had to use the vacuum suction control on the handle it was doing so well. Thanks for your support, Craig.

Greetings folks, I have a Sanitaire S-485 that has a bad motor. I was vacuuming last week and suddenly I smelled an acrid smell and the breaker tripped. I reset the breaker and started the vacuum again and inside the exhaust it appeared the motor was arcing. This vacuum is a 1992 model...
