the vacuette belt on the left is slightly narrower & is thinner than a regular kirby belt.the vacuette belt is slightly less than a half inch & the regular kirby belt is slightly larger than a half inch.
can't find any info for a belt number for my kirby vacuette.it's stretched out too much & the roller brush stops when trying to use it. any help ??? tried using a regular kirby belt but it's too wide.
any thoughts on how to get them out.i've got them soaking in 3in1 oil.putting the screwdriver in the screws & hitting it with a hammer hoping to jar them loose.so far nothing.might try a thin punch on the edge of the screws & try to break them loose.if nothing happens guess it will just be put...
after a low amount of mechanical mistakes & waiting on some parts.finally got the right parts.new bearings front & rear & the 560 is loving life again.sounds wonderful compared to the bearings going bad.this one sits in my living room to look at & use again now she is happy & well.
will the stupidity ever stop ? ordered a so called "new & improved " rear bearing puller & the plate that was screwed to it was too thick to go behind the bearing.i had to tweek it with my bench grinder so it would fit.why me ? why don't people who sell stuff ever check to see what they are...
i ordered a front plate bearing for a 516.when i tried to install it it would not slide over the armature shaft.i was puzzled.i finally gave up & removed the bearing from the plate & discovered a small ring in front of the housing. the diameter was too small to let it slide on the armature...
strange brush roll
tonight i put the strange brush roll in one of my kirby carpet nozzles & it worked perfect.don't know the maker or any info about it but it works well in a 500 series kirby.the MYSTERY continues.
