The switch Yes the switches on the early sentria 2's had problems. and yes all you need is a new cam in you tech drive. I have replaced many of those defective switches and the cams also need replacement from time to time, but all and all the Kirby g series are very reliable and fixable vacuums.

Hi all would anyone have a kirby maroon cord for sale ? they have been out of production for about 10 years.

Switch Yes that model had a run of defective switches,kirby was using a new manufacture and they produced bad switches. They since fixed the problem but there are many sentria 2's with bad switches.

Kirby airflow I work on many kirbys and the fan blades do wear down,this influences air flow. If the fan is original chances are it may need replacing.
