GE swivel top power head models

I have one similar to the second one in the picture with the check bag light and a FQ type power head. From a practical standpoint, I've never thought this vacuum was that wonderful. With the power head model you lose the 360 degree "swivel" of the hose (so not to pull the power head cord...

And this is another Viking (I believe also made by Eureka). It works really good too (almost pulls the carpet up!). I just fixed it as the handle used to drop to the floor. Not really too sure on how old it is.......

    Looking to trade....

Not too sure what the model number is but I'll go down to the garage and take a look... I'm on the other end of the country in BC.... I think I've decided to get rid of the Kirby too so don't worry about checking the color. Thanks anyway though, I really appreciate it. The tool-less Eureka...

    Looking to trade....

Have this old Hoover vacuum that I don't want or need anymore. It does work but needs a good cleaning and should be considered "as is". Would also be good for parts. Has one curved wand and some tools but they aren't in the greatest condition. Looking to trade for a set of older Eureka white...

    Eureka ESP Upright

Hi - thanks for the advice. I will pull the hood off again and see if that is the issue. The handle release seems OK as when you push it down, the release lever springs back up once you take your foot off. It's just that there is no resistance in the handle itself so it just drops right to the...

    Eureka ESP Upright

Hello - Wondering if anyone can help me. I bought a used Eureka upright that works great. Only problem is, when you release the handle, it just drops to the floor. It also has play when you wiggle the handle from side to side. I assume there should be some sort of spring that holds the handle...

    Hoover U1012

Hello All, Thanks for the Ebay link. I'll contact the seller and find out what shipping would be. If it doesn't work out I might even see if I can just locate the converter piece and the hose end as I'm sure with those I can rig something together pretty easily. It looks like from the video...

    Hoover U1012

Yes, I confirmed and the label indicates it was made in Great Britain, not Canada or US. It is 110V so I suppose that the only difference is the motor as it is exactly the same machine as the one on the left in the top picture. I've never seen any others in Canada so I doubt they were sold here...
