    Model 61 Commercial Conversion?

I saw an older thread... More like i remember... I remember a vacuumlander who posted about this. He repainted it after he found it in the trash quite scratched up. Its the European equivalent of the 61.

Electrolux 6500 L Shaped Power Nozzle Damage

Also Try not to get the Liquid Wrench that is in a pressurized spray can. The standard liquid wrench is less messier. But either one will work. Make sure after using the liquid wrench you use brake cleaner to get that oil off.

Electrolux 6500 L Shaped Power Nozzle Damage

Yes Liquid Wrench oil is easily found at hardware stores. Near me, the blue and white bottle 3 in 1 oil is a little hard to come buy. I believe I got mine at Menards. You should easily be able to get these things. Make sure the 3 in 1 is in the blue and white bottle! The white and black bottle...

Electrolux 6500 L Shaped Power Nozzle Damage

Clarification The brush AC electric motor consists of very few parts. The armature, two bearings on either side, a field coil, brush set, and a motor housing. The field coil is the large metal block that looks like 50 thin metal plates fused together with magnet wire coils on either side. In...

Electrolux 6500 L Shaped Power Nozzle Damage

Also testing I forgot to say this in my last post. To test the motor if it is a standard 120v motor, simply add a plug to the motor wires and secure the motor. Then plug it in. But be sure it's a 120v motor first.

Electrolux 6500 L Shaped Power Nozzle Damage

The cheapest and most simple way in my eyes... If I were you, I would get a bench top wire wheel with a fine wire wheel out firstly. Then I'd get that motor apart, maybe add the lightest bit of rust prohibiting oil to the bearings to make separating the armature from the bearings easier. I...

How to reinstall bellow on Hoover Model 1030

I was thinking of the 60 series type bags... Sorry I was thinking of those 60-series hoovers like the 61, 63 etc. There is no ring. But there is a rubber cement type stuff on those to seal it in all my hoovers. its always yellow like a rubber band color, and peals off quite easily. half the...

How to reinstall bellow on Hoover Model 1030

For one... You need the metal ring that goes in the bellows, along with rubber cement. The ring should be in the bellows on the edge. If its missing you can probably make a new one. Just shove the bellows end in the adapter and line it up with the little wall in the bellows. Put rubber cement...

    Insane Yard Sale Lady

WOW That's crazy. Iv ran into some real crazy estate sale people only. This one estate sale wanted 950 bucks for a Victrola console in not very good shape. I was thinking "What are you smoking lady?" They also wanted 125 for a beat up hoover 63 with a partial late model tool set at the same...

    Cleaning Kirby Shake out Bags

Heres the thing... You cant put any vacuum bag in the washing machine, hot water, or strong soap. I always go outside, turn the bag inside out, beat it (don't breath in the dust), vacuum it out, and hand wash it in cold water with no soap. Hang dry. Try not to wash a bag often, as it stretchs...

    Help - Hoover 800

IV had this Hoover for a year. Its one I got from The Henry Company. Anyways, it runs fine. But, before I got it, the bag tension strap was sucked into the handle. How can I get it back up to the pulley on the handle if it is retracted in? Please help.
