What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
My parents received an Apex Upright as a wedding gift in 1948 with all the attachments. Loved to play with it as a kid. I remember going to buy a new Hoover in 1962 with my Mom, who let me pick out model 68. One of my aunts had a new Hoover 64 Citation in 1957, which she always let me play with, and another had a GE Roll Easy. We also had a Constellation 82.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Had several 63s, which were easy to find, a tank model 51, Lark 12, Electrolux G, Modern Hygiene from the early 60s, Constellation 84, Kirby Omega and Legend II. Dial a Matic 1140. Sold the excess to a fellow collector.First one I bought for my apartment in NY was a Hoover U4127 in 1980. Also had a model 70
