What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
it was bought new for a movie theater that opened in 1951, which i ran from 1981 to 1991. dont know when the vacuum was made, but when the theater was remodled in 1966 they put carpet in the lobby. when they bought a new grainger with edgeclean, i took the Hoover home and used it there and later at my retail shop that i bought in 1991. it sat in the basement a few years but i oiled it up and put a belt on it and its running again....still sucks a commercial rug runner up off the floor!
