Ive just recently begun to collect vacuums. The first two items in my collection are a Kirby Classic III 2-CB (my favorite) and a Kirby Tradition 3-CB. For daily use I have a Sebo Felix Classic.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
One of the Kirby 500 series and a Hoover Model 800
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
At the age of 4 I got a toy Vacuum as a Christmas present. It looked a little bit like a Hoover convertible had a red motor case with a headlight an a white cloth bag that really inflated when starting the battery driven motor.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
My first vac was a Hoover Junior which I bought when I built my first own home. Unfortunately after 18 years of service the motor burnt through. The second vac was the Sebo which is a really reliable and handy machine that now serves me in my household since 2005.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Fortunately the Kirby machines came in rather good condition. I only had to clean the outer bags an to polish the metal parts.
