How do I begin to find out what model it was?

Many thanks Thanks for your help Kevin, it is much appreciated. It's weird I guess, but I never considered that I had a collection of anything. In fact, until very recently I would have laughed at the concept of a vacuum collectors club. More than anything that nailed it home for me was the...

How do I begin to find out what model it was?

My mother had a Kirby purchased before I was born, I'm guessing around the mid-1950s.  It was an upright and, well, unfortunately it looked like the majority of Kirbys I've ever seen, with minor differences here and there.   I don't know if this helps or not, but it was sold with a lifetime...

Arkay vacuum Model #5105 by Apex Electrical

Thanks Doug, I'm a dunce.  I just assumed that the "spray gun" was the "demothing tool." I think I mentioned earlier that I have the original documents that came with the Vac. Arkay vacuum Model #5105 by Apex Electrical

Thank you... <span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino;">Thanks for the information, my husband still refuses to believe it can be done, and now he's talking about selling it. I tried explaining to him what that white vinyl would do to the price even if we do sell it. He just doesn't...

Warehouse clean out-Losing Lease-Vacs WILL GO!!!

Jimmy,   I'm the new kid on the block here and really wish I'd had the chance to get to know you before you had to scrap all of those vacs.    I did notice that you had lots of hoses.  Is it possible that you'd have a hose for an Arkay?  I wrote a post about it,  but figured you're not...
