    Kenmore models regained headlamp?

Sorry, I meant to say carbon copy of a Rotator lift away

    Kenmore models regained headlamp?

Ilovehoovers Yes, Cleva has owned and manufactured Kenmore machines for quite a few years now. They purchased the designs and molds for the canisters from Panasonic when they left the market, and even kept on several Panasonic engineers to keep everything similar. I have a sneaking suspicion...

    Most unpleasant-sounding vacuum ever?

Not necessarily unpleasant But I had a 70s Sanitaire that came standard with the 3.5 amp motor, that wasn't doing it for me so I swapped it for a 7.5 amp 😂 with the metal base and a shake out bag, holy hell. Using a free sound meter app on my phone, it was pushing 91dB. I think I put a VG1 in...

How good are Kirby Carpet Shampoo Systems/Portable Shampooers at cleaning carpets?

For what they are I think the Kirby shampoo system works fine for it's intended purpose. Being low moisture means you can use it for maintenance cleans in between deep extractions. I haven't tried anything but the genuine shampoo in mine; now that I'm experienced in using it it's not as bad as...

    10 Amp Sharp?

Sharp was ahead of their time I've had a few variations on a theme, the first model I had was a 12 amp. Dark blue, speed slider, and brush roll shut-off. Some people don't like the dual pulley brush roll but I thought it was pretty innovative 😆 that machine had the solid plastic handle and...

For Sale - Eureka ESP model 2090A

Thank you! That helps a lot 😁 it would make sense for them to be able to be broken down for easy shipping, I'll have to refer to this when someone claims it!

For Sale - Eureka ESP model 2090A

Hey all! I'm trying to make some room in the closet for the new year, so I'm letting a couple of my nicer machines go! Starting out with this beautiful Eureka ESP, it's in near perfect condition and runs like it just rolled off of the line. As far as I know this was a bit nicer model than the...

Bag Change after 8 and 1/2 Months

Nothing wrong with Some trial and error, they're inexpensive so if it doesn't end up working right I won't be out more than a few bucks. I'll have to check if the shop carries them or can order one in

Bag Change after 8 and 1/2 Months

Panasonicvac Will those extended life belts fit my commercial Twin Energy upright? The aftermarket BU2 belts just don't last at all and start to slip heavily after very little use. I'd love to get a higher quality replacement as it's still an excellent performer all these years later!

    Will Full-Size Straight-Suction Uprights Make a Comeback?

Oh wow Tell us how you really feel Rob 🤣 Performance Reviews is biased, anyone with the good sense knows better. And hey, at the end of the day, the engineer who "deserves to be shot" didn't design it just for you, and I doubt one negative "review" will halt production on one of their best...

    Iona Dirt Raider

More goodies for sale! I don't know much about this one... The motor could use some TLC, and paper bags are still available through JohnnyVac last I saw. Hit me up!

    Montgomery Wards Portapower

Up for grabs! Not sure if it's uncommon or not, a MW branded Hoover Portapower. I'm assuming 70s, runs beautifully and has pretty good suction. I've converted it to use style N paper bags, and will include a couple of spares. No hose unfortunately, the one it had fell apart. Make me an offer?

    Synthetic bags

My mind goes to Compact/TriStar HEPA bags, but I don't think they're quite large enough. Look at you getting me all crafty minded 😂 it's been a lot of trial and error with making and modifying bags to fit old stuff. For a point of reference, Simplicity S bags will fit a Eureka Whisk with a...

2003-2005 NIB Hoover Floormate Base (non-spinscrub)

That's too cool! I have a SpinScrub one, bought it used from Goodwill and after replacing the squeegee it'll run circles around a Cross Wave. I wonder if yours is quieter than mine? I'd imagine half of the noise mine makes is from the drive turbine for the brushes... Still, being a bit louder...

What's the consensus on 90s and 00s Eurekas?

I love mine For 90s Eureka models, I have these 3. The Boss Power Plus is absolutely pristine and so quiet, it's become a daily driver. I'm running the Filter Aire bags to keep it clean and it's very happy. The Excalibur and the Mighty Mite II seem to be a matching pair and work well together...
