Singer Silver Glide Canister with Retractable Hose

Singer C 10 My Grandmother had a C-10 Golden Glide. It had a retractable hose that wasn't very long and didn't detach from the vacuum. To get to the bag there was a door at the bottom of the vacuum. No power nozzle just suction only. I'm thinking the wand was telescopic but I'm not sure of...

    Electrolux Trivac 2102

Third configuration Hi there, I'm not sure if this machine were to have tools and a hose but I have a TriVac and I use a Panasonic upright vacuum hose. It fits perfectly on the suction intake when you take the floor nozzle off so it can be used as a compact canister. Also an Electrolux flip...

    Curb-picked Eureka Upright

Not a fool.....But, Just so that I'm informed, what is the difference between a blender motor and a pancake motor? I've heard these references before but just wasn't sure which model machines these applied to. When using these references, are you talking about Eureka uprights only or both...

    Curb-picked Eureka Upright

Okay Cher! Put down that pump girl before you put someone's eye out!! LOL! Seriously Jason, I myself never use convertible belts in Eureka uprights, but what are your thoughts about using RD belts on the older coffee can hoover uprights? I do because the belt shaft is farther back from teh...

    Curb-picked Eureka Upright

CW Cool Find! I love those dial-a-nap uprights. The belt type is "RD" and the bag type will be F&G. By looking at the picture I see a round metal stretch bag retainer ring that hold the bag to the plastic chute inside the vinyl bag. It's hanging on the handle near the top cord hook. Vinyl...

    HOPELESS TOOLS Chapter 2!

adapter It does look like an adapter for use of non Miele tools. That attaches to the hose or at the end of the wands and smaller diameter tools (1 1/4 inch) tools will fit via friction on the end. Tools like Eureka or Kemore will fit at the end. Thats what it looks like to me. Try it if you...

Filter Queen Majestic 360 Estate Find!!

I found this exact model at a yard sale one day. While I liked the smaller PN, I couldn't get used to the small rocker switch at the front. I always found myself reaching around to the side of the machine looking for the step switch. Congrats on a cool find! Marty

    Hoover Quick Broom

Pretty! Are you sure that one takes E bags? I think the long bodied handivacs took type F bags. Short body took type G and the handivac/quick broom that had the cassette inside that held the bag took type E. Great vac anyway. I love the color! I used to have a dark blue version of this vacuum...

    what is this?

Eureka Eureka Roto Matic canister. Model 800 series. Don't know about replacement cloth bags BUT the paper bag that goes in this vacuum is Eureka Type J bags. Keep in mind Eureka reissued the J type for one of their upright vacuums. Make sure the package of bags say for Canister type J. A...

    Hoover Quick Broom

E bags Hi Leslie I think we met at the Omaha convention. Hoover probably doesn't make E bags but aftermarket bags are easy to find. I usually find E bags at TrueValue or Ace Hardware stores in the bojack form. I once found a whole bunch of genuine Hoover bags at a thrift store and bought the...

    Hoover Or Shark?

Windtunnel Air WT Air is also sold at Target which is where I got mine. I'm going to take it over to a friend's house (who has pets) and give it a spin there. I thought my place was clean but the WT Air still picked stuff up so it will be interesting to see what it picks up there. Go Hoover!

    Eureka Boss 1934A

fairly quiet That model is 5 amps and hums pretty quiet, just like an older Eureka does. My Gram has one and about once a month I change the bag and belt. it's amazing how full the bag is when I change it. I would get it! Marty

What is the point of the tool setting ?

fan-of-fans has the best explaination for the "tools" setting on those particular vacuums.

    Old Floor Nozzle

. What does the inside of the hole of the floor brush look like? There should be an inside ring in white or clear plastic that the curved metal wand fits into.
