Kirby Tradition (my first vacuum, bought all accessories from a local Kirby repair shop)

Kirby Classic III (my favorite)
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
Earliest memory is of dad tearing apart our old Hoover because he sucked up a piece of clothing and got it stuck in the fan (again). Happened so often the guy at the repair shop knew him as "the sock guy"
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Bought my Kirby Tradition at a thrift store for 15 bucks with a mostly complete case of accessories. Later polished it up and had it checked out at our local Kirby repair shop where I also bought the missing parts for my accessory case plus a bunch of the attachments (ie the rug renovator). Then a week later I looked on craigslist and found a Kirby Classic III for 50 bucks. Had very little use and came with just about everything Kirby made at the time, most of not all of which was unused (found a unopened bottle of Odoroiffic and carpet shampoo from the 70's in there). After a polish and cleaning took it too the local Kirby shop to have my friend check it over. After a new light bulb and a Emptor gasket it was good as new.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Yes, I personally restored my Kirby Tradition and my Kirby Classic III
