What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
When I was young I was actually scared of vacuum cleaners. One day our once a week cleaning lady- Jeannette, took my hand on our Hoover Convertible upright and we vacuumed together. From that day my fear was lifted. I dont really recall much of the moment being probably 3 or 4 years old, but this is the story Ive been told. Beyond that I was always vacuuming cars for the family with our Hoover Celebrity Elite canister vacuum-- I used to call it the "Orange vacuum." My dad would lift me up and put in the trunk of the cars with the vacuum hose extended in and Id clean the trunks too.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Growing up my parents had a vacuum on each floor including basement. 2nd floor machines: Hoover Convertible to Hoover Decade 800 to Eureka Powerline Bravo II to Hoover TurboPower 5000 canister S3577 to Hooover PowerMax Deluxe S3608 canister
1st floor machines: Hoover Celebrity Elite canister to Hoover Dimension 1000 canister to Panasonic MC9527 canister to Hoover PowerMax canister S3603-040 to Hoover Windtunnel S3630 canister to Hoover PowerMax Runabout S3614 to Kenmore Progressive 25513 to Hoover PowerMax Deluxe S3608
Basement inherited whichever machine was a little older and 1st floor always got any brand new machines.
Carpet Shampooers-- Regina Shampooer--similar to the Orecks, to Bissell Big Green PowerBrush model 1680 I believe, to Hoover Steamvac Widepath F6030-900
